AFRONERD

AfroNerd (Real Name Lungisani Motekase Ndlovu) is a notorious brand in the afro house music scene. He draws inspiration from artists like Shimza and Black Coffee. Starting out in high school in 2009 he learnt the art-form of music curation and music production.

He obtained a degree in Sound Engineering from the Academy Of Sound Engineering and has never looked back.

Afronerd DJ is signed to Touch Africa Records – a label based in South Africa, known for authentic African music and grand seasonal events. He works with labels in United Kingdom (DM recordings), Italy(Claps Records), South Africa (Sneja Records) and United States Of America (Dogs- Day Records). He released his début album Freedom Is Tomorrow in 2019 and shot a music video for the leading single titled No Ordinary World featuring Lunar Folks & Anda Cassandra which played on Channel O and Mtv Base. Afronerd has played in a number of locations namely, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Lesotho , Botswana, Mauritius and India.
